Freddy - 1 of 2 Horror Movie Valentine's Day Cards - Cricut

I'm an 80s kid. I LOVE horror movies; specifically Halloween, Friday the 13th and Nightmare on Elm Street movies. Just something about watching them as an adult that brings back fun, great memories of sitting up all night watching marathons or staying the night over my friends house and sitting up all night watching all the Friday the 13th movies. Good times!

I came across these cute horror movies SVG files from Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbon website. Which these files are not copyright infringement, but considered fan art because they are hand drawn and turned into SVG cutting files. There are other horror movie characters available.

I decided to turn the Horror Movie Monsters into Valentine's Day cards. I started with Freddy, he seemed to be the easiest for a sentiment. HA! I used Black Soot Distress Inks on most of the pieces to give him a grungy look. His eyes are black Glitzy glitter cardstock. To give him added dimension I used foam pop dots on the brim of his hat, and popped him off the bottom blackout layer.

I decided to stamp blood spatters on the white background. I used Candied Apple Distress Ink. The sentiment is Cricut fonts Tall & Simple and Truly Yours.

I think he turned out wonderful! The inking with Black Soot Distress Ink really gave him added dimension and the red blood splatters set it off.
Thank you for visiting!
